The President received credentials from Czech Ambassador

President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė accepted letters of credence from the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Radek Pech.

The new ambassador to Lithuania started his diplomatic career in 1992 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. In 1997, he was appointed Ambassador to Estonia and Finland. Since 2002, Radek Pech has served as Czech Ambassador to Romania and Moldova for four years. Before being appointed to Vilnius, the diplomat served as the Head of Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

In the position of the Czech Ambassador to Lithuania, Radek Pech succeeds Ambassador Alois Buchta, who left Lithuania in January 2010.
