In the letter of congratulations, the President writes she believes that relations between Lithuania and India will continue developing on the basis of the principles of the rule of law, respect for human rights, justice, and equality – all of them enshrined in the national constitutions of both states.

“I hope that political, economic and cultural cooperation between our two nations will be further advanced by Lithuania’s first ambassador to India, who will shortly arrive to your country. I would like to assure you that I will contribute in every possible way to the development of mutually advantageous bilateral ties,” President Dalia Grybauskaitė writes further.
